transmission or fuel pump?
So so quick back ground got this SUV after it had been sitting for 5 years. Has 86000 miles on it. 2001 Chevy suburban. I replace fuel filter and had to replace all the injectors. Drain gas tank did not replace fuel pump.
So current symptoms. At a stop floor truck to full throttle truck slowly moves forward quickly rises to 2000 rpm but then falls back to about 800rpms. All this happens will still holding gas down. If I do all this at about 50% throttle everything works just fine. And this is with traction control off. No if I'm doing 30 and go to full throttle truck maintains speed and goes to 4000rpms and holds steady there till I let of gas. Is the transmission slipping. I did replace trans fluid and and filter.
I do have a problem starting truck I do have to turn key to on about 3 times to start truck. I believe this is fuel pump. Could this acceleration problem be being cause by fuel pump or is this transmission done at 86000 miles?
