TSB for 07 cloth seat covers
Hello new guy here, been lurking for a while now and have a question I can't seem to find elsewhere.
I have an 07 Black LT1 with the special edition package like 20's, Bose, sunroof, DVD etc but with ebony cloth interior. I love the color combination with the black on black but can't stand the new fabric for the seats can you say "lint magnet". I was reading that there is a TSB out for a replacement fabric that GM will replace with is there any truth to this.
If so is there an option to upgrade to leather and what would be the price difference if anyone might know?
Thanks and great site with very informative info.

RE: TSB for 07 cloth seat covers
GM will not replace the fabric due to lint.
I keep a lint brush in my glove box and give the seats a few swipes when needed and it is not a big deal.
Look at the bright side; you won't have any embarrassing lint on your clothing when you arrive at work because it will all be stuck to your seat.

From another forum on the subject - they said to check your VIN for eligilibity:
Subject Excessive Lint Accumulation on Cloth Seats (Replace Seat Covers) #07-08-50-018 - (08/28/2007)
Models: 2007-2008 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe
2007-2008 GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali, Yukon Denali XL
with Cloth Seats (RPOs AE7, AZ3, A95)
Built Prior to August 1, 2007
Condition:
Some customers may comment on excessive lint accumulation on the cloth seat material. Darker colored seat fabric seems to show the condition more than lighter fabrics.
Cause:
The source of the lint accumulation is not the seat fabric material. The seat material, though, exhibits a tendency to accumulate and retain lint from sources that come into contact with the fabric.
Correction:
Replace the seat covers (back and cushion) with new covers that have been created with a revised fabric. Refer to SI for the appropriate seat back and cushion cover replacement procedures.

RE: TSB for 07 cloth seat covers
ZX is there any validity to that bulletin? I just want to make sure this is a real bulletin before I go to the dealer, I don't want to waste my or the dealers time if there is no truth to this.
I will have to check my vin when I get back to the states in Dec to see if I qualify of course if this is true, currently deployed to Okinawa.
Thanks again
