Default Upgrading to Factory Navigation + XM and Have a Question!

I just purchased a used GM Navigation Stereo that I will be installing in 07 Tahoe LT. The unit is part #15882767 for a vehicle like mine without the rear entertainment system. From what I've read, this unit will not play movie DVD's through the Nav screen, as it is configured from the factory. Will any of those aftermarket harnesees that are sold by numerous places allow me to watch DVD's through the Nav screen, or am I just SOL?

Also, I want to add an XM box at the same time. The box I'm buying includes the antenna, however, there is no other harness included. Is the harness needed to connect the XM to the head unit already in the car, or do I need to purcahse it separately?

Thanks in advance for the help!

JP Customs sells a kit that is inclusive, however to play dvd or video you need the part # that ends in 66 and has the DVD logo on the lower left corner.

burnsze said it perfectly. You need part number 66 to play any dvds, either on the screen or to a rear dvd player. You purchased the wrong unit if you want to watch dvds. The 67 model isnt a dvd player of any kind!

Well, I guess I screwed that up. I did plenty of research before I bought, and and everything I read said that you only need the 66 model if you have the RSE. Oh well!

Thanks for your responses!

That is correct, the 66 is for the RSE. The RSE needs the 66 to play dvds, the 67 is for non dvd usage.
