Default upgrading from regular cd to cd/dvd combo

i have a 2007 chevy tahoe ls that has a regular cd player with the aux output on it. i want to put the cd/dvd combo headunit in it but not sure if once installed i could install tvs that are not factory oem

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. Other than having to run your own wiring from the DVD to the screens, I'm not sure why you couldn't do what you are suggesting.
