Default USB plug is Non-operative

2011 Chevy Tahoe LS

Tried everything, different cords, various USB Flash Drives and "NOTHING". I bougt the vehicle used and was told that the head unit was replaced at one time.

I see there have been numerous posts on many sites concerning this very topic spread among various Chevy models, but I've never recalled anyone stating a fix for it. Is there anything current in getting this resolved since its GM wide and not really model specific.

I'd really like to keep my NAV head unit rather than end up having to buy a new aftermarket one. One would think that this should have been a recall issue since its so wide spread.

Thank you
