Vibration on 07 Tahoe - Transmission maybe??
mine has the vibration, too. I personally think it is a heat shield on the exhaust system. Tahoe goes to the shop next week. Will let you know. I have a great relationship with the dealer...they won't blow me off.
Good luck. Since me dealer claimed to reproduce the problem but was then old by TAN that it's "functioning as designed", I have a feeling that you're going to get the same party line.
Please let me know if they do anything though....

Well... I took the 'hoe back to the dealer with the TSB info that ZX provided in another thread and sure enough - they ordered me a new Torque Converter. It goes back in for the TC replacement sometime in January. They're going to do the puddle-light reprogramming then as well (GM claims that the buggy software will be fixed by then).
THANKS ZX!!!!!
THANKS ZX!!!!!
Just to follow up... I brought my truck to the dealer yesterday for the torque converter replacement (and a couple of other things of course) and just got it back an hour ago or so.
The annoying vibration at 1200 RPM is no longer!!! The tech told me that he could barely make it out but that TAN told him to swap the unit anyway. They ordered the part and replaced it and after an hour of driving while maintaining that range of 1000-1500 RPM, I noticed a slight moment of the noise/vibration but it immediately went away.
ZX - Thanks as always for your help!! It always feels good to shove an official GM document in the dealer's face after they say "It's operating as designed - no problems found".

Hey guys thanks for the post. My 2007 Tahoe LT3 is also vibrating at 1500 RPM. It's been bugging me butdidn't think much of it since my previous 2005 Suburban Z71 was also vibrating anddiagnosed with a muffler shield that was not welded right causing the noise. Back to the dealer.
I understand that. I was just wondering if you noticed any vibration at idle. I have a ever so slight one. Its barely noticeable, but was wondering if the TC issue was related to my minor issue?
