Ok tested the wire out of the bypass module today. I get a varying positive voltage between 10volts and as high as 22volts but it doesn't change at all when the door is opened or shut. I checked the rest of the unused wires and they have different readings but still no change with the door being open or not. any suggestions on how to fix my problem

Just tap into the door trigger wire. The bad part is you may have to tap into a wire for every door and rear hatch. Then you will have to isolate each of them with diodes.

Thanks. would it really hurt if I don't isolate them as long as I'm monitoring the same side of the switch on all of them? I would think the computer would just always think all the doors opened when one does.

It is not that much harder to put in diodes if you are already going to each wire.
Yes, I believe the computer will just think all doors are open when just one is.

Does your rig have individual door open indicators on the dash for each door? Or just a general door open light? The specific door open info is not something I would like to loose on my Tahoe.

It does have individual door messages. I never thought about that. I actually already bought the diodes just waiting for time to be able to get it done.
