I have an 07 Chevy suburban that has gone through 3 alternators in the last month, one being last week and again today within hours of being replaced. Thank God for warrenty lol. But the voltage regulator keeps going bad in them. My boyfriend is checking gounds now but what would be some other things to check if gounds are good? Battery it's self is less than a year old. The 1st time and the 2nd time we had the service battery charging system but both times today that didn't show up just voltage dropped.

Welcome from Florida. Even though the battery is less than a year old, I would still have it checked. It may be hard to find but I would also look for intermittent shorts such as something that only happens when a certain accessory is turned on.

My father also suggested checking the battery but everything says battery is good. I'm just at a loss and can't keep missing work hours.

Rebuilt or new alternators? Reman ones from parts stores are famous for not lasting. Only reman that can be trusted is one from a local rebuilding shop. Otherwise, new is best.

The 1st one a month ago was new and the the other except for yesterday were rebuilt. The one yesterday was new.
