Sabr,

If you wouldnt mind, could you also verify the version and part# of your Navigation disc? I just ordered the most recent disc Part# 20857425 from GM Nav disc support. I have ver 4.0 and I believe 4.1 is the latest version that was recently released.

Default issue

I will look at it tonight; do I just pop out the DVD?

I didn't drive my tahoe today since its nice out I took the Jeep!

so that's the exact issue you have? I have 3 contacts now at GM telling me they are 'working on it'... I think they might work faster if I start the lemon law process...

Either that or promise me in writing a 2010 head unit.

I dont think its the unit. I may very well be a software update is needed. I order the new disc, lets see what happens with that.

Default Head unit

I agree its all software, and hey; I am a programmer, but its not like I can get the source, if I could... it would be fixed by now.

I want a 2010 because the rumor is they are hard drive based not DVD... and I'm sure they are more advanced...

Wonder if they are HD based, if they'll have a USB port for updating?

BTW how do you like the cooled seats?

Default seats

Funny you ask that.

During the test drive, I felt.. this is nice.. but its not a $50,000+ vehicle...

then I turned on the cooled seats... practically sold the truck w/that 1 option.

they are nice! they don't cool down very quickly even on high, but there is deffenitly a cooling effect... after 4-6 min they can get cold on hi!

I wish I knew more about how they worked, is it just air? is it off the vehicle A/C?

does it use those thermal plate things that we use in computers? (neat piece of metal where you add electricity, and one side gets hot and the other gets cold)! I don't know the name off hand...

But yes, cooled seats are nice! Heated is nice too

I do LOVE the 09s 6 speed... its smooth, quiet and feels much better than the 4 speed...

the BLISS thingy is nice too, I miss it when driving my other car(s)

you also don't know how nice a backup cam is... until you backup a car without one!!!

I don't know if they use them but the device you speak of is a "Peltier" or Thermoelectric effect
