Hi y'all,
I have a 2008 Chevy Suburban 1500 with almost 250k miles. So far she has been good, until today. I was driving and all of a sudden the instrument cluster was behaving erratic, the door locks kept locking, the transmission wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear and the OBD port shows no link with my scanner. I stopped to check it out and then when I tried to start it up, it wouldn't start - no clicking, nothing. The horn worked though. I waited a few mins and tried the ignition repeatedly for a bit and then it started normally. I took the truck to my mechanic and he checked connections, fuses, etc. and we are still scratching our heads. Did anyone see a problem like this? Oh and get this - every 1 out of 5 times, the transmission wouldn't shift and the engine would rev high for about 15 mins into my drive, then all of a sudden it would shift and drive normal......until I would come to a stop, then it would start doing it again. Also, we checked the battery and it needs to be changed but still starts the truck occasionally.

All of this happened all at once since this morning. It drove normally the night before and days before that. This is new.
