Default What do I need forRemote start install 2009 suburban LT

I have a 2009 suburban LT with RPO code AP8, I already have key fobs with remote start capabilities. They are programmed to lock and unlock doors, but What do I need to do to get them to remote start my suburban. Can I do it myself? Or is it a dealer thing, and if so what does it cost for dealer to program them?
Do I need to purchase some kind of kit with new key fobs?

I've still got my original remote start receiver module (P/N 20803735) that the removed when they put in the Extended Range Remote that I'll sell you. I don't know what else, if anything, you'll need except for programming.

Let me know.

You will have to buy the kit. The kit comes with new remotes and stater module and program pin numbers, you can install the kit. But you will have to take it to the dealer and give them the program numbers so they can input the program code with the tech 2 . Make sure you do not loose the program number with out the number the dealer will not be able to set it up the remote start. With out going threw a lot of phone calls threw tech line even then some time tech line dont release the code to program the remote start . Then they will charge you a lot more money. You can just let the dealer install the unit. Make sure you save you program number you never know if you will need it again, hope this helps

My 2007 Tahoe was AP8 equiped. I ordered the kit from the dealer the only thing that came with it was 2 key fobs and a program number. The module is already in the truck.I took it to dealer and they programmed it. They charged 1 hour labor.
