Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default what the Suburban spent the end of summer towing

It has been a while since I posted. I forgot my password, but a pm got me motivated to think about it for a while and revisit the site. Any way with Wisconsin in the middle of winter. I thought I would post what the Suburban spent the end of Summer doing. At the beginning of August we picked up a new to us 2006 20ft Stingray fish N ski boat. The burban towed the boat up to Door county about a 4hr trip along with multiple trips to the in laws about 2 hrs away so the mother in law could do some skiing. It also saw short trips to the chain of lakes in Madison. The burban towed the 5000lbs flawlessly and the entire family enjoyed the boat to close out summer

Default They see me Towin'... they hatin'...

Tow my 25' baby with my Tahoe. Lost a bearing on the trailer... didn't notice until the wheel was almost on fire. Whoops.

Built in trailer brake controls + electric brakes = awesome for towing.

Default It's like they were purchased as a set

Tugging our boat with the burb was pretty uneventful for us last season. Only real hiccup was a screw punctured our tire causing a really slow leak. Didn't even bother to get it looked at until after I refilled it with air and TPS light went on again a couple weeks later. Lost a center cap along with it too. If that's all I have to deal with every season though, I'll take it.

Nice set up guys. Nothing beats some time on the water and a great tow rig to get you there.

Default towing

I give my Tahoe, and GM a lot of flack for not meeting my expectations of quality and luxury for a $55,000 SUV... however for towing, it works quite well.

Had I been better able to predict the future, I'd have bought the suburban... but I still think the Tahoe looks more bad ***
