Really? In my 07 Z71, these lights, I believe he is referring to, are on the upper back, passenger side, that seem to only come on in reverse - I thought they had something to do with the rear sensors or parking assist maybe?

You are right - According to the manual - "The infrared transmitters are located at the rear of the RSE overhead console."

I am thinking of something else... - Found it - Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist (URPA) - "The URPA display is located near the passenger side rear window and can be seen by looking over your right shoulder. The URPA display has three color-coded lights. The lights are used to provide distance and system information, along with beeps that will be heard through the speakers." So this is the thing I was originally talking about.

Sorry about that.

No prob...I'd be concerned if those led's for the reverse sensors are flashing on/off constantly, though, which means you're inches from hitting something.

I suppose IR stands for something else? I also suppose that the manual is wrong by calling them infrared transmitters, too.

IR = infrared. They are infrared (not visible to humans) but I haven't checked to see if they are also in the visible spectrum. I don't recall seeing them at nite tho. Will check tonite.
