Default wheel locks?

I went to the dealer today for some warranty brake squeal (5700 miles). Anyway,
the mechanic comes back and says he can't find the wheel lock key. I'm like I haven't seen one since its a 07 LSwith 17s and the black lug nuts all around.
Is there something I'm missing here?

Did you buy it new? If so, then the dealer should have it. If used, go back to original owner if possible.

My LTZ didn't come with locks. Not sure about the 17"s.

Thats news to me. My LTZ did not come with wheel locks either.

Even if you cant find the original wheel locks, the shop should still be able to get them off. I had one break on me and the local tire store had some special attachment and it was off in a few minutes. I have since removed all my wheel locks because they are such a pain in the A$$ and every criminal knows the key is most likely in your glove box.

From what I've heard from police buddies, wheel locks just keep the mechanics from getting your wheels off.
