Default Wheels on a '07 Z71

Hey guys, I want to go from the z71 standard 18"s to 20"s like the LTZ. Will it require a lift? If so, where to get the best kit? And how hard to do?

Thanks!

It should not require any lift, here's how you check that...

Go to this link...
Tires at Tire Rack
Enter the Tire Size you are using now.
When the info Page appears, click on "Specs" (in Additional Tire Info).
Find the "Overall Diameter" for that Tire.
That number in inches, is a Tire which will work without scrubbing.

Then, with that number...
Look down the List below on that page, find the 20" Rim listings.
Select a Tire, with a diameter as close to that number as you can.

What you've done is...
Adjusted the "profile" (the 70R/60R/whatever) number,
to accommodate for the increase in the Rim Diameter.

That selection, will keep your Speedometer reading as close to accurate as possible, but...
You need to consider the (possible) change in the Width of the 20" Tire.
IF it's the same as the original, no problem, but...
If it's wider, then you need to consider how that increase, may effect the possibility of scrubbing.

Usually, most vehicles have some/to a lot of extra space in that area.

Good Luck !

Minickjr52: Welcome to the forum.

If you go w/ the LTZ wheels and tires, you should be OK. I don't think the suspension on the Z/71 is any lower than the others.
