Default When is the 2008 Tahoe Coming Out?

I decided that the 2007 Tahoe has WAY too many first year problems and bugs and will wait for the 2008 to purchase, anyone know when exactly it drops?

Sept 2007. Chevrolet introduced the '07 Tahoe very early in the year. Most other '07 models were just released over the past couple of months.

Sept 2007 give or take a couple of months. Most new cars come out late 3rd QTR or early 4th. Since Chevy completely re-did the Tahoe for '07 they announced it very early. The '07 version will be the same as the '07 with maybe a few corrections. Overall it will look the same.

First off I'd say don't wait due to first year bugs, I'm sure almost everyone on here will attest that they have the majority of them worked out already. As far as the 2008 being the same, I'd say not so much. I think GM has a surprise in the engine department. Rumor has it that a 2 stage hybrid electric/gas engine will be standard. This is going to give the engine serious torque and hp boosts. I think it will be just as capable of first year flaws.

The Hybrid will not be a standard feature on the 08 Tahoe, it will be offered as an optional package it will include a CVT transmission and it will be a pricey option that not everyone will embrace.
The big change for the standard power package 08 Tahoe is the introduction of the 6L80 6-speed automatic. There will also be a few minor changes in trim level content and asthetic enhancements.
Production is scheduled to commence July of 07 on the 2008 Tahoe.

Dave,

What type of price are we talking for the hybrid upgrade? That sounds interesting. Do you have any numbers for fuel mileage, hp, etc? Thanks.

I don't have exact figures for the Hybrid Tahoe but GM is trying to hold it to around $2,500
The price has yet to be determined.
The economy figures for the hybrid are around 25mpg hwy and 20 city but I'm sure most of you guys will only be able to get 10 or 12.
There are a couple of other neat goodies that I wish I could tell you about, I will as soon as I can.
