Default where does this wire go

I removed my bezel and took out the aftermarket stereo and I found this long wire with a Panduit connector on the end, it was not hooked up to anything , so I was wondering where it goes , are these burbs wired for onstar? could that be it? Oh, I took the radio out because I am putting a backup camera in the dash.

this is a 2002 4x4 5.3 chevy suburban LS

Yes they came with on-star. That is most likely what it is... Interesting display where on-star or the 4-wheel steering control would be... How do you have that instant data display hooked up?

that is my ultragauge , it plugs into the obdII connector. I am going to route the wires through the dash for a better look. It reads DTC and clears them also.

So you used the lower center AC vent as a mounting cavity for the display...
That is pretty clever integration

there never should have been an ac vent there. On pre 2000 burbs yes. But 2000 and after will have a plastic plate for on-star or the 4 wheel steering controls...

Like Joe said, it was not an AC duct but a cubby hole , if you had on star it would have a plate there with the buttons. mine was just a cubby hole so I took out the liner and placed the monitor there, going to form it in once I know the monitor is not a total pyle of crap. cause it is a pyle 3.5" monitor a little play on words there.
