Whining noise
I have an 07 burb with bose sound. Something is making a whining noise that only comes from the very back driver side speaker. It doesn't do it every time I'm in the carand it will come and go as i'm driving. It also gets louder and quieter as the rp's go up and down. I have no clue what it is. Anyone else have this or ever hear of it?
its very possible the plugs are not a resistor type and that can cause the whine that changes with RPM...
Is there any other aftermarket audio equipment added?
if so there may be a poor ground connection somewhere...

And the wires can cause the sound to come and go while driving? Sometimes it never happens and sometimes it happens a lot. No, everything is stock as far as I know. The amp could have been replaced but I dont know. There were no services records saying anything like that. How can I tell what type the wires are? Should I replace them with resistor type wires? Do you recommend a brand?
"generally" radio noise that increases with RPM can come from the electronic noise put out by the spark of the spark plug... however it sounds like (no pun intended) you have a ground issue as it comes and goes depending on how much contact is being made at any given time....
It could be the alternator, it could be the plugs and it could be the wires , or just a poor ground connection somewhere...
If the vehicle is near the 100k miles, replacing the plugs and wires with OEM parts is a recommended as part of the routine maintenance...
Checking the battery ground cable and the body to chassis ground straps is a good and no cost place to start. (no green corrosion)
Checking the connections at the alternator, and making sure the alternator mounts are clean and solid.
You could consider having the alternator bench checked... most auto parts stores can do this...
There is a chance it could be something with the radio too, but the above items are a good place to start...

I agree, it may be a ground related issue. What is the mileage on the vehicle?
