when i accelerate there is a whining noise similar to a power steering whine. I recently replaced my power steering pump thinking it was the cause of the problem. Last weekend I drove the vehicle to g.a and back about 2 1/2 hours each way. Upon arriving back home my transmission began slipping when pulling away from a stop sign. I drove the vehicle to the grocery store today and the whining noise is still there but the transmission did not slip. I also noticed my check engine light is on. Has anyone experienced this with their vehicle or know what the cause may be?
