Default Wipers run & spray continuously - 2007 Suburban

I just purchased a 2007 Chevy Suburban LTZ 5.3L with 88K miles on it and its out of warranty. While driving down the highway (sunny day) my windshield wipers turned on by themselves AND then sprayed all the wiper fluid. Now my wipers run continuously. I have pulled fuses (#35 and #7). Also my rear windows operate fine from the front controls but will not go up when you try to use the rear buttons? I took it to a local Chevy dealer & told them about this wiper ghost and they acted like this was the first time that they had ever heard of this and then said it could be an $800 circuit board? It also appears that at some point the Washer Fluid Heater connection (GM Heated Wiper Recall)was disabled because I located the cut & poorly taped wires that were tucked over behind the master cylinder.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

IIRC, the 2007 model had the rain sensor built-in. If it does, you can probably disconnect it some way by pulling the plug up there behind the rear view mirror for the sensor.

Sorry for the late reply. You were correct...it was the rain sensor located behind the rear-view mirror. I removed the plastic housing/cover and disconnected the plug to the sensor. Problem solved! Thank you!
