Default Z71 hard shift

Hi Guys a complete newbie here,

I found this forum and hoped someone may be able to help out.

My 05 Z71 has twice now shifted really hard (like being hit from behind hard) when going from 1st to 2nd then 2nd to 3rd. This is after running at highway speeds for 20 mins then slowing down into bumper to bumper traffic. The truck has 35K miles on it and is bone stock. Last time it happed I swapped out the trans fluid and it didn't happen again until yesterday. It also feels very sluggish on take off and acceleration.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

RM

Sounds like it may be a problem with the Torque Converter Clutch or the PWM Selonoid Valve.
Any warning lights (DTC's)?

Do you have a service engine soon light and a P1870 code?
See if your transmission goes back to shifting normally if you turn the engine off for 10 or 15 seconds.
You may have a problem with the valve body of the transmission, a clutch or a band problem, or a bad pressure control solenoid.
Since it occurs after driving, it may be thata badtorque converter is heating up the fluid and causing the problem to occur.

Sorry Dave, didn't mean to step on you. Your answer wasn't there when I started my reply.

Hi guys thanks for the quick responses, I have no warning lights or messages / errors

Where should I begin to identify the problems.

Cheers
