Default 05/06 Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche ABS module electrical connector problem

Hi,

I have a 2006 Tahoe that I need to remove the ABS control Module. The 4 torx screws on top are loose however I'm having a problem releasing the electrical connector. I did my 2001 GMC Sierra last year and it had 2 connectors, they were easy. However this Tahoe has just 1 large connector, it has a small plastic handle that releases by pressing in with a screwdriver. I have the handle released and when I try to move it across the bottom of the connector it only goes about 1/3 of the way and then stops. It looks like it should go all the way but stops at about 1/3 of the way. I don't want to force it but at this point I'm not sure how to fully release it.

I have searched the internet with no luck in finding any info at all.

spray some penetrating fluid on the sliding part of the connector. Work it back and forth until it releases.

Thank you Tech2, it worked a charm. I had never come across that type before and didn't want to use any brute force and regret it.
