Default 1993 chevy suburban problem please help

Hello people. i have a 1993 Chevy suburban k2500 4x4 with the 5.7 in it. so the problem is when im driving down the road and after it warms up. it will cut out then cut back in and the check engine light will come on then goes back off after about a minute. any ideas?

The check engine light should indicate that there is a fault code stored in the computer. Many parts stores and repair shops will check that for free with a code reader. That might be a good place to start. My best guess would be the ignition switch (not the key but the electrical component).

The ignition control module in the distributor may be the culprit. Our 93 did this intermittently - always after wll warmed up - till it finally died all the way. On my 3rd module now at 340k miles. Easy change, not too expensive part.
