Default Door open/closed switch

I have a 2005 Suburban 1500 Z71. When I open my driver's door now, the truck doesn't know it is open. The interior light doesn't come on, the radio doesn't stop playing when I open it, etc. I'm sure there is a switch in the door, but I can't find it. It is not like the old plunger style switches from years ago. This is something I would like to fix myself, but I can't find the part on online parts sites. I don't know what to call it. Thanks.

it probably is part of the door lock actuator. They are for sure on the 2007 and newer models so it wouldn't surprize me it your model year is the same. I would be check for broken wires in the door A-pillar. the wires flex when the door opens; over time break. pull the rubber loom back and inspect.
