I have a '97 Burban, 5.7. A little over 2 months ago the fuel pump went out in it and i just got the money to replace the pump and the tank strap bolts, which we had to cut. We have tried everything, we can think of to try to get the tank to drop and cannot get any movement out of it at all. There is nothing that we can see physically holding it in. Help please. Love my truck and hate that i cannot drive it.

 

all you should have to remove is

-filler neck hose
-fuel tank shield
-fuel tanks strap
-fuel lines
-evap lines
-electrical connectors
