Default Multiple codes for Tranny

1999 Suburban, 2wd, AT, after starting tach inop, PRNDL indicator inop, service engine soon light comes on. Codes P0740, P0753, P0785, P1860. I can clear the codes, start and drive normally, then after 3-4 starts it repeats. Transmission shifts normally when SES light is off. 40k miles on rebuilt trans. ???

If any one is interested, I was able to track it down to the ignition switch. So much for the value of this site, considering it is sponsered by Chevy and they don't want to give the real solutions away without having to go to a dealer.

Thanks for the feedback.

Not sure about Chevy sponsoring the site as not high enuf on the food chain for that intel. However if someone had any info re: your problem, they would have posted it. Except for a few professionals, most of us here are just shade tree guys w/ some experience mostly acquired at the School of Hard Knocks.

Glad you were able to get it fixed.

May have mispoke about sponsorship, just an observation on advertisement. Have seen responses from service managers and hard to believe none have run across this. Hate to buy a Ford after owning Chevys for 30+ years and learning how to work on them. I have a real problem trusting dealers of any brand and I have a Chevy, 2 Hondas, a Mitsubishi and my favorite a 1976 MGB which I restored. Thanks,

After spending most of my life distrusting dealer service dept, I finally found one that does a good job and doesn't try to snow you. I can usually tell how it's going to go by talking w/ the service mgr.
