Default problem interiors

My wife has a 2007 chevy suburban have a problem with chrome parts peeling and cracked dash. We bought it new off the lot. We love the truck but I question GM on standing up behind there product. We have three chevys thinking of shopping a different brand on the next purchase.

Welcome to the forum.

A good service dept. sometimes will help you out on the peeling chrome issues. Of course it helps if you had them service ur truck.

Was it the door handles?

recap of "interior" quality issues that have come up for the 07 Tahoe to the best of my knowledge in no particular order...

1. Chrome peeling from interior door handles
2. Cracked dash to left of instrument panel hump
3. Peeling rubber coating from steering wheel bezel
4. wind noise from rear hatch glass

I have only mildly experienced the peeling rubber coating, its kinda odd too because I never grip the wheel there..

anyone else have to add to this list thats not user induced?

How about the defroster connector tabs breaking off?

chefwells, I would suggest having the vehicle checked out by a dealership. Depending on your mileage you may still be covered by the 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty which would cover you for this fix, under normal circumstances. If you continue having issues with your vehicle you can contact me through the forum.

-I have had repeated defroster tab issues
-Coating coming off center of wheel (I never touch there either)
-My wife cut her finger on the passenger door handle due to chrome peeling (seems like this is a very common thing and unsafe, should be recalled)
-Head liner rattle on passenger side

Seems like GM took some big steps down with this version of the Tahoe. My old one never had so many issues (inside). Unlucky for me it has no warranty left.

At this point I am not sure if I will ever buy another one, or any GM product.
