Default Replacement of Power liftgate module or motor

Jumping on here to see if anyone has replaced the their power liftgate motor or unit on their Suburban. Would just like to know if the motor is a complete unit that is a quick remove and replace after taking off the trim over it's location. Will be attempting to make the swap soon due to my the liftgate freezing in place after washing my Suburban on a pretty cold day. Didn't think about it being a problem as I wipe out all door openings and the rear liftgate enclosure after a car wash. When I hit the switch to open the liftgate it needs my assistance to lift it while it sounds as if the motor is tearing up a tape drive. The motor runs fine, but, the gate won't come up without assistance. Appreciate your input on what should be a simple job.
