We recently bought a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban. There is an on/off rocker switch on the left side of the center console under the dash board. One of the functions seems to be to turn the AM radio reception on or off.

I have researched this switch and found no reference to it in the manual or online. Does anyone who has this switch know specifically what it turns on/off beside the AM tuner?

My guess is it's an aftermarket antenna signal booster.

 

Thanks 'intheburbs'. That seems to make sense. The vehicle was sold new in Texas and depending on the location in that vast state such a boost may have been required.
