I am curious if there is a way to identify the type of transfer case on a 2008 Chevy Suburban with a 5.3 Liter aluminum block without crawling under the vehicle. Does the VIN indicate which type is used. I have a 4 speed transmission with a selector switch on the dash that has 4 modes for the 4WD. 2HI, Auto 4 WD, 4HI, and 4 LO. Been looking around for my original window MSRP sheet to see if it's showing on it.
