Weird wiper problem
Recently my wipers have been acting up. When I turn on the headlights the wipers start running continously. If I switch back to parking lights the wipers stop running after a while. I have changed the light switch and wiper pulse board after a tip from a Chevy friend. I have also changed the multi stick (high beam, turn signal, wipers, washers, cruisecontrol) but it hasn´t solved the problem. Before I start digging into cables and stuff there must be something I´m overlooking. Relays maybe. Greatfull for any tips right now.
It´s a 1996. Is the wiper module the same as the pulse board? The wiper pulse board is located on the fire wall on the drivers side. This part I have changed. It seems like the wipers freak out when I turn on the headlights...
Did some checking and when the error occurs (engine running, headlights on) I don´t have left hand turnsignal. But I pulled the fuse and put it back in the error disappears. This is super weird! Checked the under the hood fuse and relay box and there is nothing that is connected with wiper function at all so this can probably be outruled.
One thing that comes to mind though, I recently experienced problems with the engine and yesterday changed sparkplugs, wires, rotor and cap. These were all in terrible condition. Read somewhere that if the onboard computer has to compensate for worn inginition parts the high flow of current can effect other electrical functions. I wonder if this can be the problem?

Question; do I have to reset the vehicles computer after putting all these new parts in? Thinking that the computer has to be reset to default after tune up and new pulseboard for the wipers. Rigth or wrong?
Hey, since almost nobody follows up on their tech problems, I will. I solved the matter with the weird wipers. First I changed the wiper pulse board which solved most of the problems. But the problems with lights and turn signal just drove me crazy until a friend gave me a advice to look at cables and ground. Tore down the grill and sure enough I found both bad ground and frizzy cables. After two hours of soldering everything is working perfect.
