Default 01 miss firing, spit & sputter

Driving to work yesterday and out of the blue she start missing, spitting & sputtering. Made it to work and made it home. Log on to this forum for suggested reason. One of the suggestions was clean the MAF with the proper cleaner. Well, it didn't work. The other suggestion were spark plugs. I price original at Advance Auto, $13 each. Damn. Would it be ok to try a cheaper plug or should I stick with original.? Im going to get plugs and maybe coils. We'll see. Any other suggestion.?

Here is the diagnostics page for symptoms similar to yours.

It ended up being a coil on the first cylinder, replaced all 4 plugs also.

Always love a report of a confirmed kill. I am little surprised a bad coil did not throw a trouble code. I would have at least expected a misfire on #1.

I took it to "my mechanic" rather than me throwing parts at it and it not be it. Its easier to go to work on a volunteer day and give that money to my mechanic than me crawling around in my driveway or yard trying to fix something that I might still not fix. I did do a wheel bearing a couple weeks ago haha.
