Default 2000 Tracker 4WD Transmission fluid change

My daughter just bought a 2000 Tracker 2.0L 4WD automatic and the transmission fluid is WAY overfilled. I'm going to be dropping the pan and replacing the filter. Before I dive in, does anyone know if I'm going to have to drop that drive line that runs below the pan? The filler tube is also attached to the pan. Does the tube drop with the pan or is that supposed to come off somehow? Thanks!
