I am going to use a 1999 tracker as a tow behind my RV. The harness I purchased has wire colors
green
Red
Brown
Yellow
White

The tracker has colors
green w brn stripe
red w yellow stripe
green w white stripe
red
Blk
Can someone please help me match the tracker to the harness?

 

This is the trailer lighting connector (C402) color code for my 2001 Tracker.

 

Upon further review I realized there is a sixth wire (pin 3) on the factory connector that supplies constant battery voltage.


The factory connector (lower) plugs into my European-to-American turn signal converter box (upper).


Surprisingly the colored wires into the converter box are:
Green
Red
Brown
Yellow
White

The pin-to-pin wire colors are:
Green --- GRN/YEL (right turn)
Red--- GRN/WHT (Stoplight)
Brown--- RED/YEL (tail light)
Yellow--- GRN/RED (left turn)
White--- BLK (ground)
Empty --- GRN (pin 3) battery voltage
