2001 2.0l Won't Start, Or Stalls After Starting...
I have recently began having problems with my 2001 tracker... (2.0L, Auto.)
Car sometimes starts, but won't run for long... (maybe 2-5 minutes) Then it'll stall and won't restart...
Sometimes it won't start at all...
Car is down, can't be driven because it won't stay running once it IS started...
This is not the camshaft sensor problem... It never get's hot...
It was always fine, it runs great when it does start...
One day I came home, shut it off and ever since then, it's been like this...
In the past I had an issue with the camshaft sensor overheating... fixed that... it's been fine ever since...
I never cleared the dtc for the camshaft sensor...
I checked the codes this time and here they are...
PO301 - Cyl. 1 Misfire (Never cleared the past codes...)
PO340 - Camshaft Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Never cleared the past codes...)
PO400 - EGR Flow Issue
PO420 - Cat. Efficiency (No converter present...)
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hello --Have you checked the fuel system. Sounds like fuel starvation. I am not familiar with the Tracker fuel system as yet, but typically these are part of one (of course)---fuel pump; pump relay; filter and pressure regulator. If you haven't done so, check fuel pressure at the engine until it stalls --the fuel rail at the injectors should have a valve for this purpose.
