Default 2002 XL7 swap info

I am looking at the front differential out of a 2002 Suzuki XL7 and I am wondering if this will be a direct swap? It has a 2.7 in the engine compartment where mine is the 2.0 in my 2003 4 door tracker. Both are automatics which makes the gears in my diffs the 4.88s if my research is right? Thanks for any info

The Suzuki parts catalog shows the same part number (27611-82D00) for the front differential housing in the 2002 XL-7 (2.7) and the 2003 (2.0L) Grand Vitara. The pinion and gear set part numbers (27300-60822) are also the same.

Thanks for the reply but I am asking if it will fit a 2003 Chevy Tracker which has the following part number "Axle Housing - GM (91176630)" now they maybe the same or like other parts between the two manufacturers they maybe different. I am trying to save myself from making a 400 dollar purchase and also the 3 hour drive one way to find out they are just different enough it will not work.

I don't know. You are much more likely to get a definitive answer on the Gen2 Grand Vitara forum ( https://www.suzuki-forums.com/forums...nd-vitara.211/ ). Those guys do a lot of Tracker/Vitara parts swapping.
