Default Crankshaft position sensor by-pass ??

I have a 97 Tracker that I have replaced the motor in using an older Tracker motor. The 97 is a 16 valve engine and is supposed to have a crankshaft position sensor , but the motor I used doesn't have a crankshaft position sensor. Is there a way to bypass this sensor or will I need to figure out a way to connect it ? Could find any info. on bypassing it online and thought maybe someone here can offer some advice. Thanks everyone who answer's.
