Engine Noise and Stalling after 2,500 rpms
Hello, I have a 2003 Chevy Track with the 2.0L 4-cylinder engine. The engine starts up easy and idles just fine, however when the rpms hit about 2,500 rpms, the
engine starts to make noise (I think it is the timing chain) and then the engine stalls/dies. My first thought is the timing chain for the noise, but if so, why does the engine stall/die?
Right after it dies, it will start right up and idle just fine. I can even drive it, and all appears to sound well as long as I keep it under 2,500 rpms.
