Default Help! Vitara owner needs Tracker Parts but can only order if i have a Tracker??

Has anyone ever used www (dot) gmpartsdirect (dot) co ? Are they legit?
They had the part i need in stock but when i inquired stating I have a Vitara (uses the same parts for most things) they said this: "I will need the vin# on the vehicle to look up additional parts and to verify those #s ... I have no way to look up Suzuki parts, and the #s you provided are available 4-5 days out on special order but everywhere in the catalog it does not give me diagrams for the convertible to look up mldg and trim parts. I would need a vin for a tracker to do so"
The parts they provide are expensive, just want to make sure i'm not being scammed.

IF they are legit - anyone mind loaning me their vin for this? FYI - i have a 2000 Vitara - 2dr soft-top.

Thanks!
