Default New Guy here, need brake help

My first post and i have a rear brake problem. I have a 2000 chevrolet tracker 4x4 5 spd. I changed front brakes yesterday. Looking under the back noticed something wet on the drivers side rear wheel. Took brake drum off, inside is wet with what appears to be brake fluid. HOW do i get behind the axle flange to take the brakes off the backing plate. The flange is blocking everything. I need help on this one for sure. Thanks for the forum and i'd appreciate some help.

if you can't remove the brakes with the axle flange in place, remove the axles. if you going to remove the axles on a vehicle this old...replace the axle seals while you have it apart.
