I have a 2001 Chevy tracker 2.5L, with 70k original miles. It burns oil on start up only. Any suggestions?

 

Probably valve seals.

 

Could be your low mileage. Piston rings might be sticking. Might try something like M-M-O or Seafoam in the crankcase, Otherwise I'd just drive it more and it might free up things.

 

I've ran it with the oil consumption issue for 20k now. Was using it as a work vehicle. I just kept up on the oil. Figured I actually take a swing and fix it as I'm trying to sell it soon. Have a company vehicle now so no need to let a Good vehicle sit. Thanks for the input, it all helps.
