Alright folks, Been dealing with this a little while now. Here is the story.....
I hit a critter (raccoon-armadillo-something) one night and since then my Blazer shuts down randomly. It dings- kicks the reduced power light, engine light, and traction control light. Coast to a stop- turn key off(try to start again it does nothing)- wait five minutes- it starts right back up just fine but with the engine light still on. Had codes read once and it had 13 codes after this happened-P0014 Cam position over advanced, P0300 Multiple misfire, Phone erased other pics- LAW circuit malfunction, Steering angle sensor, ABS control, and several others. I assume it is a connection or something. After 20 miles or so and a couple engine cycles, the engine light turns off and all is well.... TILL It happens again. It has happened twice this morning alone
. I am really at a loss here and need advice. I love this truck and she has been really good to us. Thanks in advance

Them Armadillo's are hardened little creatures. Don't have them where I live. Mostly jackrabbits, raccoons, possums and skunks. I try not to hit them, but stuff happens.

You must have damage somewhere under the vehicle. Have you looked for the damage yet?

 

I have looked around under the truck and theres no damage that I can see and no loose wiring.

 

So thanks to a buddy with a Scanner, we drove it till it shut down while the scanner was in active monitoring. PCM memory failure... Both times it shut down... Looks like I'm getting a new PCM...
