Default 06 trailblazer shift cable issue

My grandma's trailblazer broke the shift cable bushing at the trans. Replaced the cable, and now the key won't turn back to off position, will turn to crank position but won't crank, and I have no power in the vehicle. I replaced the battery 125a fuse, and checked all the fuses under the hood that I thought would apply, and still nothing. I thought maybe it wasn't in park, so I pushed the actuator and shifted down through the gears, and back to park, and still nothing. I don't think that I left the key in aux spot long enough to kill the battery, but it seems like even if I had, it'd still turn to off position, just not crank. Has anyone experienced this, or can you give me some guidance? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The cable may need to be adjusted to get it in the correct position. Charge the battery as it can't do anything if it really is dead.
