I have an 08 inline six trailblazer. 2wd the exhaust manifold is pretty much broke in two about 6 inches before the pipe union.Is this a common failure ?is there a recall?Is my converter stopped up?Is my muffler stopped up?Any help appreciated

 

How many miles on it? Did it rust out? Does it look like it was torn apart? If so check to make sure motor mount are good.

 

yes it common. hopefully none of the studs are broken.

 

it is not rusted out,It has around 60,000 miles on it.It is hard to tell if it is ripped out.looks like a clean break all the way around.

 

Yes this is unfortunetly a fairly common problem. If you don't have more than 120000 miles on it there is an extended warranty and TSB that was issued . Take it to a chevy dealer and tell them what the issue is . Even Isuzu sent a notice for my Ascender on this issue. Supposed to be covered in full if within the TSB period .
