I've got a 2004 Trailblazer and I've recently run into a problem with my radio. Here's the deal...

There is no sound when I have my radio set to an am/fm station. However, I can play CD's without a problem. Any thoughts as to why the radio does not work, but the cd player will? Thanks in advance - SD

 

I think since you can play CDs and listen to them without problems, your unitoutput is fine, you have to check your receiver circuit, look for a connectionthat is not fixed. Otherwise, take your car to repair shop but don't let them convence you to replace the whole unit ...

 

the labor on troubleshooting might be more than the radio's value. FM sucks anyway. cut into your AUX wire and put an AUX port in. buy a mp3 and plug in your own songs. that money is a physical gain....troubleshooting is money out the door.
