Hi.

Right now my 2005 trailblazer 4.2 ltz is dead
I legt it parked for some hours and when i came back and tried to start it, it al seemed normal but the engine will not start and the key will not come out it seems that the car thinks its not in park

Any help woul be greatly apreciated!

 

Start or crank? I take it won't crank? Can you shift it with key on? If so, drop it into nuetral, then try to start it.

I tried it, the lever moves and i tried in every option, since i was out of the city, i tried something desperate and left the starter on the on position and gave the starter engine a touch witj a cable connected with the battery, and to my amazement! It started!!!
I got home, but the truck was behaving funny, the abs and brake lights were on, as were the check engine and 4wd ones and the car was not shifting normally , i parked it home, and once again does not start and the key wont go out...

Hey, happyly the whole thing turned out to be just the starter fuse... incredible how just one fuse can mess up your car!, in the endit was just 5 Bucks!
