Hello all,I am new here and need some help. My wife bought a 2005 Trailblazer with the inline 6 a few months ago.Has about 50000 on it.We love it but yesterday the battery went out.All of the sudden just quit.I put a new one in it and all was well. She called me today and said she could smell something burning with the air conditioner on. By the time she got home #5 speed quit on the blower.1-4 work but 5 dont. I have been researching on line and see allot of the same problems on the trailblazers.I see where most people have to replace the resistor pack? does this sound like my problem? Anyway to check this? Or could it be my blower? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem.
# 5 didnt work-
I replaced the part- and its worked fine since- about a 20 min job.

 

I had the same problem with my '03. It too was the resister for the blower It was around $30 - $35 at a napa store. Easy fix. It's under the dash on the passenger side.
