Default 2008 TB Temp Gauge and A/C issue

Having issues with the Temp Gauge reading 100 degrees continuously one session, and then read normal temps the very next drive session or next day. Also, The A/C will not work sometimes. The light indicator is on, the fan is blowing, but the compressor will not energize. Then suddenly, for no apparent reason, it starts to work normally. Someone please help identify these Gremlins.

Default Temp gauge and AC issue

My TB is having the exact same issue. I do have a code light on but have to read it still. Maybe the code could help you resolve your issues as well?

Mine ended up being the thermostat held open. The gauge would never go past 100 degrees. $420 later, I have a new thermostat and no more issues. AC works great as well. I think it shuts off the AC as a safety measure.
