Looking to downsize from my 99 Suburban and thinking about a Trailblazer. How do these trucks perform on the beach? Are they true 4wd (2 speed transfer case, limited slip, etc)? What kind of mileage could I expect?

true 4wd 2speed transfer case on 6 cyl
ss is awd
what is your suburban mpg

 

Driving about 60% interstate and 40% around town I get 13 or a little better. It has the towing package with the 3.73 rear.
Trouble is I drive 50-60 miles a day so it adds up!

I can get up to 23 mpg on the highway if driving conservatively and keeping speeds down to 60. Otherwise I get 20 - 20.5 mpg on my 2005 TB.
