Default Exhaust

I am wanting to remove the muffler from my 05 Trail Blazer, however I've already spoken to someone with Chevrolet and they said this would void my warranty on the whole exhaust system; including both the muffler and the catalytic converter. I was wondering if anyone had tried this and if they have had any trouble with the engine after removing the muffler, also did this in fact void the warranty?

Default RE: Exhaust

if you change it yes it will void the GM warranty, but whoever changes it, say midas, or whoever gives you THEIR warranty.....if you are taking GM parts of and putting non-GM parts on how is GM supposed to give you warranty......as for engine trouble, as long as you go back to semi original and keep you o3 sensors and things should have no problem....

What are you doing, a cat back or something.....this will improve you performance and give you no engine problems, but like I said youare taking the GM stuff off so ya they are not going to warranty someone elses work and parts
